The Association is an approved charity and a recognised Learned Society. The Association is a Charity whose membership fees support its activities.
Membership of the Association for Research in Infant and Child Development is limited to professionals who are Griffiths III Registered Users. Registered Users of the Griffiths Scales have completed the training (eLearning and face-to-face course) and received a Registration Certificate and Number from ARICD.
Benefits of Membership include:
- Reduction in fees for educational meetings both face to face and virtual (webinars) such as the Autumn International Meeting (ISM) and other educational events/workshops.
- Access to content/recordings of these ARICD educational meetings such as videos or webinars even if not attending
- Access to presentations that ARICD have made to contribute to other meetings (If recorded and permission given) for example recent presentation at ICP2021
- Access to enhanced Resource information – clinical cases, profiles, unusual results with some discussion/advice how to approach assessing children with different types of problems. Links will be provided to articles about not only Griffith Scales but to Child Development in general
- FAQs for members to develop a dialogue about ideas/practice
- More information about what is happening worldwide and practice in different parts of the global Griffiths Scales user community. What is the experience around the world – this is interesting to share and learn from
Members have access to the membership section of the website which in addition to the above, has more information than the general website page available to Griffiths Scales users who are not members. This includes:
- Regular newsletter with more ‘News’ from around the globe and people’s experience of using Griffiths Scales
- Opportunity to network with a range of professional internationally
- President’s message summarising last year’s events
- Celebrating birth of Griffiths III video
- AGM minutes and Trustees reports
- Terms of reference as they are added
- Role descriptions as they are added
- Member policies (including expenses)
- Information about Officers, Trustees and Committees

There are several Membership options available:
- Annual Membership at £ 25
- 5-year Membersip at £100
- Life-time Membership at one-off payment of £50 for professionals who have retired from their usual post.
