The Griffiths Scales of Child Development – 3rd Edition (Griffiths III) is the newly published and updated test from the Griffiths Scales of Mental Development. The Griffiths III is a child friendly measure which assesses 5 main areas of childhood development. It can be administered to children 0 – 5 years 11 months.

A face to face accredited new user Practical Training Course will be run at Tumbatin Developmental Clinic at the Sydney Children’s Hospital (SCH) for 3 days in March 2025.  The course will consist of tutorials on the theoretical and practical aspects of the Griffiths Scales as well as opportunities for supervised practice in the administration of the scales to typically developing children. There will be some discussion regarding testing children with developmental problems.  Participants must present a Certificate of Completion of the Video Training Course 2023 eLearning course before attending the course. Those who successfully complete the course and e-module will obtain a certificate and be registered as accredited Griffiths III users by The Association for Research in Infant and Child Development in the U.K.

**The number of training places are limited. Please note places are filled based on application details not on first come first served basis. Completing the Video Training Course-module does not guarantee a place on this course.

VENUE:           Sydney Children’s Community Health Centre , corner Avoca and Barker sts Randwick.

TUTORS:       The course will be run by Dr Debbie Perkins (Child Health Doctor), Dr Carolyn Cottier and Dr Vanessa Sarkozy (Developmental Paediatricians) and Subodha Wimalaweera (Clinical Psychologists).

DATES:            March 10th, 11th, 12th 2025,  Follow up day, likely in June (TBC)
